Two submissions accepted to the ISWC21 Doctoral Consortium
Last week, the submissions of our two doctoral students, Peb Aryan and Laura Waltersdorfer were accepted to the Doctoral Consortium at ISWC 2021!
Peb’s research topic is investigating how to make cyber-physical energy systems explainable with the help of semantic technologies. His DC submission is entitled “Knowledge Graph for Explainable Cyber Physical Systems” and was accepted as a full presentation.
Laura’s work focuses on how to achieve auditability for hybrid systems, which are combining symbolic and subsymbolic approaches. Her submission entitled “Auditable Semantic Web Machine Learning Systems” was accepted as a short presentation.
The papers are their first step towards the PhD thesis and define the problem statement, related work, research questions, preliminary results, evaluation plan and future work of their research topics. Both will present their work and join the discussion, during the consortium taking place on 25th October 2021 virtually.
Peb and Laura are now concluding their first year and participating in the doctoral consortium at ISWC will be extremely helpful in further developing their dissertation plans.
We are looking forward to attending the conference.
