FAIR-AI Project Kick-Off

Last week, we were part of the WU Vienna representation (Marta Sabou, Elmar Kiesling, and Fajar J. Ekaputra) in the diverse and dynamic landscape of Austrian #AI stakeholders that form the FAIR-AI consortium, consisting of 22 partner organisations and more than 100 participants from all over Austria.

The FAIR-AI project aims to address the research gap posed by the upcoming European AI Act requirements and the obstacles to its implementation in the daily development and management of AI-based projects and its AI Act conform application.

We look forward to leading WP3 on engineering AI tools for the next three years and expanding our work on #hybridAI patterns with risk modelling and mitigation.

The project will allow us not only to be part of this network of prestigious organisations and meet new collaborators but also to continue long-standing collaboration with colleagues from the Semantic Web Company (SWC) (Anna Breit, Artem RevenkoRobert DavidMartin Kaltenböck), Siemens (Josiane Xavier Parreira) and ONLIM – Knowledge-driven Conversational AI (Ioan Toma).
