Feline Lindeboom and Anton Baychkov visit Semsys
From 22.09-25.09, we had the pleasure of hosting two inspiring visitors, Feline Lindeboom and Anton Baychkov.
Feline is PhD student at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen under the supervision of Davide Grossi and Pradeep Murukannaiah. She works primarily within the field of (computational) social choice, combining elements from mathematics, theoretical computer science, (political) philosophy and economics, to ask and answer questions about diversity and representation of minorities in collective decision making.
Anton is a PhD student at the University of Warwick’s multi-agent systems group, supervised by Markus Brill. He is interested in a wide range of topics in computational social choice and algorithmic game theory, but his main research focus is participatory budgeting. On 22.09, he presented his recent work proving utilitarian guarantees for the Method of Equal Shares in the research seminar of our department.
